connecting with our children is not being permissive. Live isn’t letting them do what ever they want to do. Truly loving is the opposite actually. It’s creating and consistently setting predictable structure and boundaries in their lives. They don’t know what’s acceptable, what’s right or wrong or why. It’s our job’s as their parents and grandparents and teachers and caregivers, to teach them through examples, discipline (not corporal punishment), creating a structured environment and clear consistent boundaries.
