Yule celebrations started on December 21 and run until January 1. Yule and winter solstice celebrations are much older than the current Religious and Consumerist holidays that many worship today. Yule celebrates the darkest night of the year and longer days coming soon in the new year.

If you feel displaced by religions or consumerism during modern holidays, I encourage you to know and embrace alternative reasons to celebrate this time of year.

You can celebrate and be good without god or giving retail therapy.
