Welcome to Mighty Book Club! Mighty Book Club is a place to explore new books and escape into the pages of your next favorite read with other members of The Mighty community.

Mighty Book Club is virtual — meaning you can take part from any place you have access to internet. Each month we will select two book options: one fiction and one non-fiction. You can read one or both books.

Participate in a way that best fits your needs and energy levels. If you can’t read a book one month, that’s OK — we understand. You can add to the discussion questions we’ll be posting on the #MightyBookClub page at your own pace, or follow along as the questions get posted.

Interested? Here is what you can expect:

  • One discussion question per week. The question will be published every Friday on the #MightyBookClub page
  • Ability to vote on book choices each month.
  • Accessible book options.

Accessibility is important to us. That’s why all book selections will have the following:

  • An audiobook version.
  • Trigger warnings if applicable.
  • Manageable page counts (250-400 pages, on average).
  • Publishing dates older than one year to help with international editions, translations and library wait lists.

To join Mighty Book Club, make an account with us and follow the #MightyBookClub page.

Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson

If you are looking for a witty and, at times, incredibly deep book about how to live life to the fullest with mental illness, this book is for you.

Vianne, the older sister, must face having a German officer living in her house as her husband is fighting with the French army. Isabelle, her spirited and rebellious 18-year-old younger sister, wants to take matters into her own hands and seeks to join the French resistance against the Germans.

If you love an emotionally-packed historical fiction book, The Nightingale might just become your next favorite read.
