Some Positive Words for Anyone Riddled With Anxiety on Thanksgiving
For everyone celebrating Thanksgiving, I wanted to spread some positivity to you on a day that can be very stressful.
I know I’m definitely feeling the anxiety creeping up on me as the minutes tick by and knowing that soon the house will be hectic and people will be arriving. For those who feel the same, just know you’ve got this! I’m rooting for you, and I know you’ll be able to conquer this busy day and come out of it feeling accomplished. But for those moments that really test your strength, remember you are allowed all of the space you need. Don’t exert more energy than you have, and don’t burn yourself out. You’re one person, and we unfortunately aren’t superheroes – but your inner strength can rival the best of the best! So if it feels too tough, take some time to yourself. Your happiness and health is most important.
For anyone struggling with an eating disorder, take the day one minute at a time. I know it’s stressful, but you can do it. Try to let yourself enjoy the day and do what is comfortable for you. Remember that you are incredible and loved.
Happy Thanksgiving!
