I'm a product design student. I'm planning to write my dissertation on "What is the influence of cold-water exposure on anxiety?"

Does anyone use wild swims, cold showers or even ice baths to help manage anxiety? In January this year, I experienced my first ever panic attack, Not exactly a very pleasant experience. However, I was recommended if it ever happened again, I should take a cold shower, as a sort of hard reset! The two other times it happened I used this method and found it quite effective. Since then I take every opportunity to have a cold dip to help manage lower levels of anxiety.

I would be really grateful to anyone that would be willing to share their story with me about what works for you.
