When I Almost Gave Up on Love Because of My Epilepsy

My epilepsy has taken a big part of my life away. Especially in the love department. Almost all my relationships have ended due to my epilepsy being a “problem.”

When I was almost ready to give up on love, the most wonderful man came into my life. He didn’t care about what my diagnosis was, or how much it would affect our relationship. He cared about who I was. What I liked to do, what I liked to eat, etc. No matter how many times I had a seizure or where we were when it happened, he has always been right by my side.

Yes, it gets very difficult sometimes. Sometimes I want to just give up on us. But I know not everyone will be able to understand me the way my husband does.
