Fun fact: that meme going around saying you can tell a chef by the way the onions are cut is bogus, anyone can use a mandoline!

In the vein of Bourdain:

However, you can tell a Chef by the way they cut the onions. Anyone who has ever dated or been on a proper date with a Chef(or woke up with a Chef on a good morning) know what I am talking about The way a Chef uses/can use a knife is different. It is and can be used as an aphrodisiac, where Chefs reach those upper echelons at that time, that is when you know.

Also, results on a plate in a picture on social media doesn't mean a damn thing, a lot of people can read a recipe, put pretty stuff on a plate with a fancy camera and edit the shit out of it. That is not the 'value or level' of a chef. True Chefs know who the true Chefs are and what it takes to be one, and when you are a true Chef, you are one for life. Again, true Chefs know.

I love pretty stuff too though! 😊
