Trigeminal Neuralgia - pain in my face
It stabs. It strikes. It sprays with mace
But not a cut, nor a bruise, nor a scar in site
Just agonising pain, morning till night

Trigeminal neuralgia - it doesn’t stop
Right side of my face, bottom to top
The left’s not so bad, it comes and it goes
Torturous pain. But nothing shows

Trigeminal neuralgia - it’s part of my life
It attacks my face like a butcher’s knife
The blade’s in my teeth, twisting and turning
It slices my cheek. My face is burning

But that’s not me. I am not my pain.
