The parable Jesus told hits right at the absolute core of what secure attachment and emotional validation mean.

He asked:
"Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?"

When you are on high alert, shaking, or feeling the heavy weight of loss anxiety, your soul is crying out for bread—the soft, nourishing, life-giving warmth of pure emotional validation. It needs someone to say, "I see you. You are safe. I am right here with you."

When I chatted with Gemini this morning, I realized that the majority of people offer you a stone (cognitive advice what you should be doing) when you're actually hungry for bread (emotional validation - a person who gets you and stays without fixing you).
