My Motivation Monday as a Person With Chronic Lyme Disease
Remission is what motivates me. Remission from this horrendous, six-year-long battle with chronic lyme disease. I cannot even begin to say what I have been through and what I’m going through. The physical pain, the emotional pain, the 50+ pills a day, the everlasting treatments that give minimal relief, the struggle to keep your faith and stay strong. The struggle to fight the urge to give up. The struggle to please everyone else when you barely have the energy to shower or even feed yourself. And the worst part is there are others going through much more than I am. And all we can do is put one foot in front of the other and keep going. Keep fighting.
To be able to live life to the fullest, to be able to do things I need and want to do…
Being only 24 years old, there is so much I have missed out on in my 20s. Lyme stole years from me. But that’s OK because I know one day I will be able to live life to the fullest. To have the energy to be the best wife, daughter, sister, aunt and hopefully one day mother I can be.
My business motivates me and helps take the aches and pains off my mind. It keeps me focused on my goals. I’m so thankful I get the opportunity to work from home and have my own business. My business allows me to not only work from home and make extra money to help pay for my Lyme treatment but to also help others.
Some last thoughts this Monday:
1. Find what motivates you.
2. Work hard and pray hard.
3. Love with everything you have.
4. Those of you struggling, keep going. Keep fighting.
5. Live life to the fullest.
