Metachromatic Leukodystrophy

Hi, my name is SevenOfNine. I’m a full-time caregiver to my two boys, 9 and 7 years old, who have Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD), a rare and progressive disease. In just two years, they have lost all their abilities, and my days are completely devoted to giving them love, comfort, and care.

While I pour everything into my boys, I’ve realized how much I’ve been neglecting my own need for connection. Grief, stress, and exhaustion have made it hard to reach out, but I know I need support now more than ever. I joined this community hoping to find others who understand the emotional weight of caregiving and who can offer encouragement, advice, or simply a space to talk.
