This week, I’ll share what Spina Bifida Occulta means and what the disabilities or symptoms are.

Occulta is the mildest and a common form in which one or more bones of the Spinal column (Called Vertebrae) are Malformed. The name occulta which means “Hidden” indicates that a layer of skin covers the opening in the bones of the Spine. Occulta is found by accident on a x-ray. This type of Spina Bifida is rare to have a disability and symptoms.
