McDonald's Employee's Kind Act for Man With Disabilities Caught on Camera
Destiny Carreno, from Chicago, Illinois, stopped into a McDonald’s for a quick bite to eat after work last week. What she found there was so much better than a burger and fries.
Carreno was waiting in line when an elderly man in a wheelchair approached the register and asked for help. Eventually, Carreno and the employee behind the register, named Kenny, realized the man was asking for help cutting up and eating his food, according to a post on Carreno’s Facebook page.
To her surprise, Kenny disappeared from behind the register to wash his hands and put on gloves, then reappeared and carefully assisted the elderly man in eating his food.
“At that point, the tears started to gather in my eyes,” Carreno wrote in a Facebook post. “My heart was so appreciative for what he did. I couldn’t contain my emotions in the crowded restaurant. This employee, who put everything on hold for this man, went above and beyond his responsibilities to help this handicapped customer out. That was the kindest and most humble thing I had ever seen.”
Since Carreno posted the photo of Kenny’s kind deed to Facebook on September 16, it has been shared nearly 300,000 times.
