Mom Desperate to Find Mystery Doctor Who Saved Her Son’s Life
Lucy Johnson was at home on Nov. 5 in Lincolnshire, England, when her 16-month old son Teddy had a seizure.
In her state of panic, she rushed into the street outside her residence and screamed for help, according to local news website Grantham Target. A woman who happened to be a doctor ran across the street from their neighborhood gas station and started tending to Teddy. In the chaos of sending her young son to the hospital, Johnson lost track of where the woman went.
“I was just absolutely terrified,” Johnson, 35, told The Daily Mail. “You see a baby turning blue and you don’t know what to think… I didn’t even remember to thank the doctor personally. That’s why it’s so important that I find her and thank her personally for saving my son’s life. People don’t have to help strangers, but I am just so humbled and thankful that she decided to help us. She went above and beyond the call of duty.”
In addition to the doctor, Johnson was helped by a woman who called an ambulance and a man who offered to take the family to the hospital in his car.
