Ada is a working mother with a newborn. Shyrelle is an unmarried mother. Yalixa cannot breastfeed her daughter because of a lump that was removed from her breast four years ago.
What do all of these women have in common? They face a lot of undeserved judgement from others.
The short documentary below, from director Cynthia Wade and baby formula company Similac, aims to end the mommy wars — it takes a closer looks at the challenges new mothers face and how we can all learn to judge each other a little less.
“Finding out how many commonalities we have and the struggles we’ve had, I just feel a lot more compassion and empathy towards them and myself,” Dawn, a new mother, says in the video below.”
