This Christmas, remember that you don’t know what “that” kid is going through.
Transcription:
That kid who doesn’t get dressed up for holiday activities…
may have sensory issues.
That kid who doesn’t give much attention to presents…
may have different interests.
That kid who doesn’t say “Happy Holidays” or “Merry Christmas…”
may be nonverbal.
That kid who seems too loud…
may have auditory sensitivities.
That kid who hangs back and doesn’t participate in activities…
may have severe anxiety.
You never know that child’s whole story…
But you really don’t need to.
Holidays are for everyone,
For that kid, and that kid and that kid.
Maybe you were that kid.
Maybe you care for that kid.
This year, be kind to that kid.
