“Living with Parkinson’s: Finding humour in chaos, one page at a time”

Big milestone today — both the ebook and paperback editions of my debut novel The Good God Guide are now live on Amazon UK.

This has been a 20-year dream in the making. Living with Parkinson’s, I never thought I’d have the energy or focus to write a book — but bit by bit, often on my phone, with a little help from AI, I made it happen.

Parkinson’s may slow me down, but it doesn’t silence me.

I never thought I’d call myself an author

Living with Parkinson’s has brought daily challenges — tremors, fatigue, and brain fog often get in the way. But when I could no longer work, I decided to finally chase a dream I’d carried inside me for over 20 years: to write a book.

This year, I did it. 📖

I published The Good God Guide — a surreal, comic adventure inspired by Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, and a pinch of Monty Python. It was written entirely on my Android phone, with a little help from ChatGPT to polish and expand my words when Parkinson’s made writing tough.

I’m a very private person, but I want to share this because I hope it encourages others — with or without Parkinson’s — to go after the dream that’s been sitting quietly in the back of their mind.

Sometimes, the impossible is just waiting for you to take the first step.
