Japanese Actress Ashina Sei Dies by Suicide at 36

Japanese actress Ashina Sei has died at the age of 36, according to Deadline on Monday. According to Deadline, Tokyo police confirmed Sei died by suicide.
Sei first started her career as a model before starring in her first acting role in 2002 for “The Tail of Happiness” (“Shiawase no Shippo”) on TBS. She is perhaps best known for her role in François Girard’s 2007 film “Silk,” an international historical drama about a silkworm merchant who becomes enamored with Sei’s character. She most recently starred in the movie “AI Hokai,” which was release in January.
