Herman Ziggy Stardust Wittenberg

Herman is definitely ready for Fall, but not sure what to think of the scarecrow.

Tuxedo cat 1

Meet Oreocat Cat. He is one of our fur babies. He is 15 years old and was a rescue cat that chose us. He was in the Christmas edition of “the cat” 2019. He loves the camera and is usually happy to pose for a picture 😂. He is so loving and loves a cuddle off his mummy. He really is a mummy’s boy. He “tolerates” his younger “brother”, who loves to try and hide and pounce out on him. Poor Oreo. He just wants a quiet life. #tuxedocat #catsonthemighty #petsformentalhealth

Love, cat style

#MightyPets
Tara is a rescue kitty. One rainy and raw November evening four years ago, she showed up on the doorstep of a cat-loving couple in the building next door. It just happened that my neighbors in the building next door were about one degree separated from my best friend. My best friend paid for my neighbors to take this very friendly and clearly not too streetwise cat to the vet to check for a microchip and get a checkup and vaccinations. There was no chip, and nobody came forward to claim her in response to the "found cat" listings my neighbors had placed on Craigslist and neighborhood forums.

My best friend happened to know someone who could take the cat in, and much to my surprise, that person was me. I did, after all, have a vacancy; my oldest cat, Siouxsie Mew, had died about six months before at the venerable age of 19. I'd kinda gotten used to being a two-cat household, but there was no way I could leave this poor cat out in the cold. The neighbors couldn't take her in because they had one very jealous cat.

She's made an amazing recovery from the trauma of losing her first home, but it took a lot of time, patience, and encouragement. These days she sleeps curled up by my head when I go to bed. #Cat #tuxedocat
