7 Work-From-Home Jobs Hiring This July
By now you’ve probably heard the news: The World Health Organization (WHO) declared “burn-out” an official syndrome.
Technically burnout is an “occupational phenomenon” as opposed to a “medical condition,” but if you live with a health condition, you’re probably well aware burn-out can be a very real side effect of your health or lack of accommodations at work and elsewhere.
Mighty contributor Winslow E. Dixon explained how they deal with burn-out while living with a chronic illness in the article, “10 Ways to Break Through the Burnout of Chronic Illness.” In addition to prioritizing self-care, learning to say no and changing your surroundings, Dixon recommended eliminating stressors where you can. Dixon wrote:
Avoid things that trigger increased pain, sadness or stress. Are there certain things that increase stress in your life? Are there people you need to avoid? Are there situations that hurt you? Try to get away from as much negativity as possible…and when it’s not possible, care for yourself as best as you are able.
For many living with health conditions or disabilities, going to an office can be one of the biggest work stressors, whether it’s a lack of accessible parking, an open-office layout that causes sensory overload or being required to sit in a chair all day that leads to debilitating joint pain. If this is you, working from home might be a great alternative.
To help you find new work possibilities (and eliminate work stressors), here are seven companies with open work-from-home jobs you can apply for this July:
