Lindsay Lohan's Comeback Song 'Xanax' Is All About Anxiety
Yes, the “rumors” are true: Lindsay Lohan is back with her first song in 11 years. Titled “Xanax,” a podcast Wednesday revealed the actress and sometimes singer’s new bop will be coming to headphones near you very soon.
A clip of Lohan’s new track was released during an episode of “The Kris Fade Show” on Virgin Radio Dubai. According to the podcast host, “Xanax” is about “anxiety and pressure and taking care of yourself.” During a 30-second clip from the middle of the song, Lohan seems to sing about not liking crowded clubs but making the trip for a special someone.

“Xanax” will be the first solo song Lohan recorded since her 2008 single, “Bossy.” She struggled with addiction and an eating disorder in the past but is now sober. More recently she came under fire for defending Harvey Weinstein and suggesting people who come forward in the #MeToo movement are doing it for attention, comments she later tried to walk back.
Lohan also posted a clip from the song’s intro on Instagram, where she has been hinting at recording new music for some time. The podcast hosts said while “Xanax” hasn’t been released yet, we can expect the full track “very, very soon.”
