Last month, we celebrated the 75th annual National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM)! While last month was called disability employment month, it’s important to remember that there is still a current state of disability UNemployment in the United States.

We can’t stop fighting for our rights to equal opportunities to find meaningful work. My hopes are that moving forward, companies, both small and large, across the country will take advantage of the current opportunity and national crisis to step up and rethink inclusivity, reassess hiring practices and policies, and actively reach out to chronically ill and disabled jobseekers.

If you already have a job, or know of an inclusive employer, be sure to refer them to sites like Chronically Capable so that more people with chronic illnesses and disabilities can connect with flexible work opportunities.

For those of you who are new to these monthly articles, my name is Hannah Olson and I’m the founder of Chronically Capable, a digital talent marketplace and community that connects chronically ill + disabled jobseekers to flexible job opportunities.

We have always believed in the importance of creating space for the chronically ill and disabled to work and excel at their jobs without feeling like they have to sacrifice their health. Now, we’re working on getting employers across the globe to join us in actively supporting our community!

If you want to keep up with our work and our job opportunities, be sure to sign up for our newsletter or check out our Instagram to stay updated! On that note, I’d love to share seven available remote work opportunities available this November.

1. Modsquad

As an inclusive employer on Chronically Capable, ModSquad is an industry leader in digital engagement. If you’re looking to find a career in customer support, moderating web content, managing communities or generating social buzz, Modsquad might be perfect for you. Even better: the company is remote with over 10,000 employees worldwide! And of course, if you’re looking for good benefits, you’ll be excited to hear that Modsquad offers flexible hours, medical benefits (for full-time employees), 401k, and more.
