Autoimmune Weekend

Got an IUD placed Friday because my periods are from the pits and other than cramps was doing okay. Nobody else got sick. I ended up going to the ER on Saturday from GI symptoms, needing three bags of saline and zofran. I was told it was likely food poisoning and not the IUD (at least it’s not that because removal of that F*****r did not sound fun). Since the doctor was only looking at the IUD, it did not occur to me to say to look at autoimmune causes. Now I’m having vague nausea and lightheadedness (one of the symptoms that led to us concluding my periods are evil). I’m Wondering whether my body has more surprises in store.

Does anyone have a recommendation for how to treat lower abdominal pain? #ChronicPain #IrritableBowelSyndromeIBS #IUDs #GeneralizedAnxietyDisorder #PanicDisorder #Anxiety

I have really bad IBS and I have a Mirena IUD that has been routinely and repeatedly giving me ovarian cysts that end up bursting (which will be removed this summer). My pain went from a 1 at 7am to a 10 at 1pm. I had to leave work and skip class. I am in so much pain that I am curled into a ball. I could barely complete the drive home. I can’t stand up straight because of the pain. I have been clean for 12 years and refuse opiates. So I have Naproxen, a very strong version of ibuprofen, but it is barely touching the pain. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!
