Canadian Actress and Model Stefanie Sherk Dies By Suicide at 43

Canadian actress and model Stefanie Sherk died by suicide on April 20, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office. She was 43.
As an actress, Sherk appeared in films such as “Valentine’s Day,” “Un Cuento de Circo & A Love Song” and “Loco Love.” She also had roles on TV shows like “CSI: Cyber,” “Telenovela” and “#Hashtag: The Series.” According to her IMDB page, Sherk will appear in “Grudge” in early 2020, which is currently in post-production.
Sherk’s husband, actor Demián Bichir, announced her death on Instagram.
“It has been the saddest and toughest time of our lives and we don’t know how much time it will take for us to overcome this pain,” Bichir wrote. “Stefanie’s beautiful, angelical and talented presence will be immensely missed. We will hold Stefanie in our hearts forever.”
In response, friends and coworkers took to social media to share condolences, with a number of celebrities commenting on Bichir’s Instagram post, including actress and songwriter Denyse Tontz and actress Diane Kruger.
Actress Laura Zak, who worked with Sherk on “#Hashtag: The Series” also shared her condolences on social media.
