Having been in the hospital too many times to count, I understand the loneliness you may be feeling. I'm sure being there at Christmas is very difficult. Please realize this is temporary and things will get better for you even if you don't think so right now. I'm not posting a poem because there all pretty depressing. So, I'll post a quote instead. Keeping every one of you in my prayers hoping that you will get better and live your best lives. Be happy, be strong be who you want to be. Don't let whatever you're going hold you back from living your best lives, chase your dreams. Make them come true.

To the patients at McLean, I pray that you all have a wonderful holiday season. I know for some the holidays can be tough, but you’re tougher! Also, just remember you’re not alone or forgotten. You’re mental illness does not define you or determine who you are as a person. As for the staff, I appreciate that you have the patience, desire, and knowledge to help people who are struggling get better.
