First time posting a poem here. I write a lot but am nervous sharing them in a new space.

Alone is such a short word
For such an enormous feeling
Trying to go all automaton
But the gears are rusty from
Every tear I don’t have left
Be in the feeling don’t bottle it up
The feelings are eating me alive
Need to store them, cryogenically
Freeze them. Freeze time.
Freeze the smile on my face.
Don’t be you, find her. Bury you.
Watch the world fall down
