Imagine a cozy blanket in a field of wildflowers. Imagine clean, easy to breathe air. Imagine yourself feeling relaxed & admiring the clouds passing by in the sky. Imagine yourself in a very safe frame of mind. Imagine a gentle warmth over your skin & slightly fragrant scent of wildflowers. Imagine the sound of birds singing in the distance. Imagine a nearby basket filled with an abundance of everything you need; everything you need is within reach. Imagine your heart beating at a normal pace. Imagine feeling calmness, love, & peace wash over you. Allow for deep, easy breaths. Exhale it out.

Grounding can sometimes help us cope with intense emotions. Often this tool is something that we talk about post an intense therapy session. It can sometimes be helpful to seal away painful thoughts, your #Therapist  can help you find one that works for you if you like this idea.

Simplified:
1. Imagine yourself putting your thoughts, like books, away shelves in a library. Lock the doors.
2. Imagine placing your thoughts in a box. Seal the box and hide it away in a safe place. Only you can open it.
