Squirrel

Ever since that movie up my Nickname with some of my were humorous and definitely decidedly more gutsy coworkers would just yell squirrel every time I got off track.

I have a lot of posts you’ll see that relate to ADHD , bipolar And I’ll refer to the voices in my head often and I don’t know if that’s because my dad was schizophrenic or if having 1 million thoughts going through your head for 56 It’s very much like being a schizophrenic golden retriever with multiple personalities and all of them are screaming #Squirrel at the same time.

Self care. When I heard these words for the first time after being severely depressed for several months, the first thing that came to mind was getting a shower, changing my clothes, getting a haircut and eating better. Just thinking about the amount of effort I would have to put out exhausted me. I finally dragged myself outside, sat on my porch and watched the squirrels. Almost instantly I felt this wave of calm wash over me. It was then that I realized self care is so much more than just physically taking care of your body. Every morning I now sit on my front porch and watch the squirrels after I get my kids off to school.
