What's your #dailyaffirmation ?

What's an affirmation you use daily to help you start your day? How does it help you?

I'm interested in hearing what others do to get an idea for what could be helpful for me!

What's something someone has said to you about your health condition that was ignorant or rude? What did you wish they said instead?

Today's #ElizabethExplains will look at what not to say to someone struggling with their health.

Maybe someone has told you you're being "selfish" when you don't feel up to visitors or doing something with them.

Maybe someone has told you that you're making your condition a bigger deal than it is. Or maybe that you talk about it too much.

What does your "happy" place look like? How does it help you?

Happy, or safe, places are areas we can retreat to mentally. They can help us feel calm and peaceful. I use mine when I feel overwhelmed and my #Anxiety #Depression  are too much to handle in the moment. It comes in handy when I can't sleep, too.

Feel free to share what your happy place looks like. If you want to keep your place private, you can share how it makes you feel or helps your mental health. To hear about mine and how I created it, sign up for Mighty Brief in your email preferences.

Some responses may be used in the #ElizabethExplains  column today.

Imposter Syndrome

Reading the article today on the “Mighty Brief” about Imposter Syndrome, I totally see myself in this. I believe that two previous jobs I had, loved, and left, due to my Anxiety, may also be a victim of this. My brain constantly tells me that I am not good enough for anything and always second guessing if I really belong where I am. I did not understand this until recently and barely starting to correct the situation. #ElizabethExplains #MentalHealth

If you're subscribed to Mighty Brief (Mighty News in email preferences to sign up), you'll see that today I talked about DBT. DBT has many aspects to it, and it'd be impossible to fit it all into one column. If you have any questions about it, you can reply to this thought or use #ElizabethExplains

Furthermore, if there's another topic you're interested in knowing more about, let me know! If you'd rather email me a question, so you don't have to ask it on the site, you can email news@themighty.com.
