My platelets go up and down along with red platelets. Now I am normal again till the next blood work in 6 months for the 10,000 time. It’s been 3 years of up and downs. Family dr sent me to an oncologist and does every time. Oncologist always says the same thing it’s not that high yet. What exactly can I do if anything. No meds for it yet.

Have just been diagnosed with ET after several months of fatigue, brain fog, weight loss, enlarged spleen...you name it, I have it. Anyone else have extraordinary symptoms with ET?

Was just diagnosed with this after several months of progressively worsening symptoms. Finally found an oncologist who did some genetic blood work and bone marrow biopsy and confirmed. My symptoms are more exaggerated though, compared to normal ET. Numbness, fatigue, brain fog, insomnia (unless I take Xanax). And it seems to be getting progressively worse.
