Sadly a few months ago during a particularly upsetting episode I found myself in such a dark place I telephoned the NHS crisis line. It took me a lot of courage to phone and only did because I was beginning to believe my suicidal thoughts. I got the answer machine, I think I was lucky because the whole ludicrousness distracted me from my intent. However it could have made for very serious consequences. Sometimes finding the right words really help myself and other people to understand what I need to do. Emotional spring cleaning sums it up and I'm doing that today! Working from home today, taking some time to quieten my mind because I can sense it filling up and I know I'm becoming hyper-manic. At times like this, I need to slow down before it goes too far.
