Hypnagogic/hypnopompic hallucinations

So this has been a thing for me for a few years now but recently have been getting worse. I’ve been hallucinating (not every day necessarily though sometimes several days in a row) while going to sleep. I very recently found out the name of it. However, they are getting more frequent, more intense, and also happening when I am waking up now, too. They started as visual hallucinations and I found out when I turned on a light they would go away. But that is becoming less effective. And I’m starting to have auditory ones as well that I can’t get rid of. I’ve tried meditating, white noise, and music. None of it helps. I’ve even had tactile hallucinations a few times. Mostly it’s annoying and frustrating because it won’t go away. I do have an appointment with my psychiatrist next week so that’s good but I thought I’d post on here to see if other people have experienced it and/or have advice. Parasomnia

I’ve struggled with some pretty horrifying sleep disorders that seem to come and go with my bipolar mood episodes. Most often occuring during mania, I have experienced both #hypnopompic hallucinations and #hypnagogic hallucinations. One of my best coping skills to date has been my ability to draw what I am feeling and experiencing. Here is a representation of one recurrent hallucination: an etherial, smokey skeletal figure.
