Who are the people who really care
Are they the same ones who issue a dare
Many people say things to get you to stay
Then there are those who only want to play
They play with your emotions and how you feel
Only until you realize—they are not one hundred percent real
At times, I wish I could remember those who I trust
Then there are times—my brain feels like day old rust
You see, I may not recall a third of my life
But, no matter how hard I try—I cannot forget all of the strife
They say you are suppose to love one another as you love self
Only problem is—how can you love others , when you barely love yourself.
