restraints

Ever since I was restrained in the hospital in March, I feel myself declining. The “ patient advocate” and her boss have been telling me that I was not abused, that I was dangerous and assaulted a staff member (which did not happen), and that they were legally required to restrain me. I was trying to get away from a violent patient who was threatening to kill me and the staff weren’t doing anything about it. It’s so disgusting when someone says they sympathize but then proceed to tell you that you were not abused and that your anger isn’t justified. So far I haven’t been able to find a lawyer to represent me. I feel like I should just give this hospital 2 grand just to put it behind me, but if I do, they’ve essentially won and I’ve given a lot of money to bad people who do bad things. I hope none of you ever have to experience being restrained. It’s dehumanizing and I don’t know how to move on from it. #hospitalabuse #restraints #MentalHealth #PanicAttacks #PanicDisorder #Shame
