On Hallway Conference, and in observance of #transdayofvisibility , Carrie Simpson from Managed Sales Pros spoke with me about creating safe spaces for everyone at events and conferences!

Transgender Day of Visibility

Yesterday, on the eve of the Transgender Day of Visibility, my state signed a Women's Sports Protection Act. My roommate is transfem, and every day she is more and more afraid for her safety. I wish I could reassure her, tell her the world is a safe place for her, tell her that people love her and care about her, and people will protect her and her rights as a human being to live in a way that is safe and comfortable for her. But I love her, and I will not lie to her.

Some day, history will hold a mirror up to this time, and people will be horrified by what they see. I am so scared and sad and worried for all of the trans people who are waiting for that day.

I see you. I love you. I will protect you with everything I have. You are not fighting alone.
