People's experience with Daith piercing and #Migraines ?

So I experience migraines quite often. Some don't last as long as they used to, and some can last up to 10 days.

Paracetamol and Ibuprofen no longer dial the pain down. For a little while I took sumitriptan which worked at first, but after a while they didn't really dial it back either and can be quite expensive - six for almost 9 GBP.

Anyway I read some years ago about acupuncture and piercings working miracles for some people. I tried acupuncture once - it was a very strange experience but would only gain benefit from it with a full course, which I couldn't afford.

I got a daith piercing 3 years ago and seemed to make them better but not rid me of the agony.
The piercing closed up when I tried and failed to change BCR. I've since had the piercings done again and had just over two months. I've still been getting crippling migraines.

Has the #daith piercing actually worked for anyone else?

On a slightly different note, I think some of my triggers are #hormonal (mostly), #Stress , lack of fluid.

I don't think there's much I can do with the hormones. I hade a coil fitted for contraceptive purposes and for almost a year I was migraine free... then they returned.

So another question is, ladies who have/had migraines caused by hormones. Is there anything that has helped you?

Daith-piercing

Hi! Does anybody have experience of Daith-piercing to relieve migraine? Did it help you or not? And if it did, how less frequent and/or how less intense is the pain now compared to before you got the piercing? Thank you!

Daith piercing #screwMigraines

Just wanted to quickly share that I’ve suffered my entire life with migraines. On average I would have anywhere from 14-25 a month 😦 freakin debilitating. Until my sister who also suffered from migraines decided to go get her daiths pierced. ( cartilage inner ear right smack dab on a pressure point) Me personally I am a tattoo person not piercings was reluctant, a year had gone by, me still dying to live a normal life gave in ( I hate piercings I’m a wuss) drove to a respected piercer who traveled to different shops specializing in migraine relief. I literally sat in the parking lot for 2 hours not wanting to go through with it /:
Anxiety set in.
Smoked one more cig and put some gangster rap on pumped myself up and walked in. I wanted to throw up.
This being a tattoo shop and me having a full sleeve I felt comfortable there. Many of my friends have their own shops so I’m no stranger to the chair, and the intoxicating sound of the gun, and the odd satisfaction of pain. Introduced myself and as directed after signing waivers she began to prep her station. Pretty sure I was at stroke level with my blood pressure lol. She pulled out this hook SERIOUSLY YALL I could catch BASS with!!!!!!!!😧 🐟🐟🐟🐟🎣🎣🎣 she used s sharp tool to find my pressure point, and then boom without warning pierced my daith. OMG the worst pain, time for the other ear, I wanted to leave right then I’m pretty tough (3 c-sections, endometriosis, full hysterectomy) I’m no stranger to pain BUT THIS 😬 “lay flat on your back we’ll get the other one”.
Y’all I wasn’t in the damn fetal position 🤣
—short story long— haha for months and months I walked around with sore ears, cute piercings—AND FEWER HEADACHES AND MIGRAINES. A year has gone by, guess how many migraines I’ve had each month? In average TWO MAYBE THREEEE 👏🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 #hellyes

I’m living again!
