Hi there I got diagnosed with fibromyalgia either 2002 or 2003 I always forget when. It’s been a really long journey and honestly no end in sight with battling crazy symptoms. Do any of you suffer from facial pain that you’re not sure is a sinus infection or not? I think I’ve read that fibromyalgia can cause pretty bad facial pain plus a weird head pain like you’re being squeezed in a vice. Sorry not a pleasant image but anyway has anyone found good coping mechanisms for this weird kind of pain that mimics a sinus infection?
Just last year I finally was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis, and possibly costochondritis. That’s the chest and sternum pain that’s really scary and that could land you in the ER and then you feel like an idiot when you don’t have any cardiac symptoms after all 😖. That’s happened to me at least twice or three times in the last 15 or so years. I tend to just suck it up and keep isolating and not knowing how to get the help & support I need. so I’m so glad I found this group! I’m tired of trying to just soldier on and not get the more specialized support I need to deal with all this. All my healthy friends obviously can’t understand what I’m walking through and one of them thinks I’m making excuses at times and says I should just keep pushing through to keep commitments and my body is like “ not a chance... have fun with that one Cate!”
