(Forgive me if i did this incorrectly or in the wrong location- first #Thought .) #Christmas was for family - it was magical. My father was like a giant kid, buying a tree that was usually too big, picking out the best gifts, playing Xmas music from as many genres & groups as he could find (I pretended to find this SO annoying but it helped create this magical....ambiance when the music played and only the tree was lit.

We'd watch 'A Christmas Carol ( he'd tell me all the movie facts and goofs which I now knew by heart) .We watched a Christmas Story, A Garfield Christmas (even though by this time I was 20) and our favorite- Scrooged.

Our presents from Mom & Dad, but they were never under the tree until Christmas morning when "Santa" brought them.

My father died just over 20 years ago. All the #ChronicPain #Fibromyalgia & #sjorgrens I'm dealing with seems nothing compared to the fact Christmas died too, and I once again sit here alone.

I'm 40 years old, and all I want for Christmas is my Daddy back.
