Walk a mile #walkamile #sjogrens #PosturalOrthostaticTachycardiaSyndrome #POTS

#CheerMeOn I walked a mile for the first time in 3-months. The weather has been lifting my spirits and I was feeling strong. I slept like a rock that night and decided I could be strong enough to chaperone my son’s field trip to a museum. I survived but now everything hurts. ...But it’s a good hurt because I was able to be with my son on his trip.

Be Kind Always

A Bad Day, Month, Year, Life…
By Katie Roulier
You Must Be The Change You Want To See
You do not know what someone else is facing at any given time. They could be having a bad day, week, month, year or life.
That fast food employee you just yelled at could have just experienced something terrible, but still got up and went to work. To be yelled at by you about lettuce on your burger which is not her fault as she takes orders and does not make the food. She might have rang up the order specifying no lettuce. The kitchen guy might be new and accidentally put it on there. Now the manager comes out, who is overworked and way underpaid. You proceed to yell at the manager. After trying to find a solution and offering you free food for the inconvenience you would like to call head office about the terrible service.
You get home still fuming. You call head office and start directing your anger towards a Customer Service Rep who may not be 100% proficient in English. This frustrates you even more. You are going to blow a gasket!
Somehow, somebody comes into the picture and resolves the problem. Thank GOD.
You see, that irrational behavior you exhibited to 5 (five) people made them all feel terrible. You finally have resolution but what is really the problem here?
NOT THE LETTUCE. YOU COULD HAVE PICKED IT OFF. I DOUBT YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO LETTUCE. IT'S NO ONES DAMN FAULT BUT YOUR OWN.
Lets say for shiggles that all of these 5 people go home and take it out on an additional 5 people each that night. Those people on turn take out their frustration on another 5 people each.
THE PLAGUE IS MULTIPLYING, DIVIDING AND CONQUERING.
This post is not about the lettuce. This post is about our choices and behavior affecting others.
Let this sink in for a bit. Now think about someone posting a hot political topic or whatever you would feel the need to take action over on Facebook. Using the top story, how can we refrain from making a ton of people feel badly?

We can remove the damn lettuce (STIMULI) and have a great rest of the day.
