#52SmallThings What will set you free?

So often because we have a facial difference we feel like we must do more, be more for others. We may frequently get caught up in those thoughts and feelings of not being enough, thus forcing us to go overboard for others. This week @Samantha Paige challenges us to ask ourselves if we can let go of what we perceive to be these things we must do. What if these thoughts didn’t exist? What if we just let go? What would that look like? Would the world come go to a screeching halt? Doubtful...what is one small thing you can do towards letting go of these negative thoughts or perceived obligations?

    Mindfulness through art

Grounding our bodies can help us calm our minds. Art can be a powerful way to accomplish that. Gazing at something beautiful can help us reset and move away from negative thoughts and emotions. What kind of things do you find beautiful? #craniofacial #CleftPalate #CleftLip #cleftstrong #ChooseKind #ApertSyndrome #CrouzonSyndrome #PfeifferSyndrome #facialpalsy #FacialParalysis #hemifacialmicrosomia #GoldenharSyndrome #microtia #artesia #Craniosynostosis #treachercollins #antleybixlersyndrome #millersyndrome #nagersyndrome #Neurofibromatosis #moebius #PierreRobinSequence #FibrousDysplasia #ChronicIllness #RareDisease

#52SmallThings Self Acceptance through Self Care

Ways to be accepting are many and varied. I find that I’m able to accept myself better when I get enough water, sleep, whole food sources, and exercise. If we treat ourselves with respect and love, we are more able to respect others for all that they are....and more. What makes you more accepting? #craniofacial #CleftPalate #CleftLip #cleftstrong #ChooseKind #ApertSyndrome #CrouzonSyndrome #PfeifferSyndrome #facialpalsy #FacialParalysis #hemifacialmicrosomia #GoldenharSyndrome #microtia #artesia #Craniosynostosis #treachercollins #antleybixlersyndrome #millersyndrome #nagersyndrome #Neurofibromatosis #moebius #PierreRobinSequence #FibrousDysplasia #ChronicIllness #RareDisease
