It's Glimmer Thursday

It's Thursday and that means Glimmer time!
Its second Christmas day here in Denmark.
And I am thankful I've had glimmers during this Christmas.
It's also really hard work for me to celebrate Christmas with all the stimuli, socializing and to do's.
But I've used my #photodiary to capture the good moments and memories that were entangled with all the hard work.
There is such a short time span between the now and experiences becoming memories.
Sometimes that's good, other times we would like a moment to last longer.
Then it's lucky we have our photos.

For us glimmer seekers, Thursday gives us an opportunity to share some glimmers with each other.

Your glimmer doesn't have to be something "big" or monumental.
A glimmer is often found in a micro-moment.
It doesn't even have to make sense for others, as long as it makes sense for you and calms your nervous system.

Glimmer Thursday

You may know by know that Glimmers are the opposite of triggers.
Meaning they spark positive feelings and calm your nervous system.
They can be small micro-moments were you feel joy, coziness, safety, gratitude, warmt, peace, relaxation or any other positive, calming emotion.
They have true power and they can benefit your mental health and nervous system.

Are you embracing the beauties you can hold on to?🫂

I'm grateful for the glimmers before the week is out.
It's been hard for me to notice glimmers this week.

I’m doing well psychologically, but I wish my body were in good shape too. Just a little more time—I believe I’ll get better and pull myself together.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t go out much, but today I took a short walk with my father. I have some issues with my lungs, but breathing in the scent of pine trees on a slightly rainy day felt refreshing.

One morning, I made pizza for breakfast—a healthy pizza! 🫠

Another day, my mom baked her amazing bread. I’m so grateful for the presence of my family. My mom has been my rock during this period of illness.

And here’s our floor dining setup. We Turks sometimes eat on the floor. Have you ever seen something like this before?

I also knitted a Turkish bath cloth (bath sponge) for myself. Do you use such things?

Finally! I had been wanting to read a book for weeks but kept postponing it. Today, I managed to read, and I’m grateful for that.

And what about you? How are you? Is life going the way you hoped it would?
