What makes you #strong 💪🏻
What empowers you to keep going?
What lifts your Spirit up?
A kind word?
A smile?
A hug?
Maybe it’s the right song on the radio when you turn it on?
Perhaps it’s the sound of Children’s laughter?
Maybe it’s a great support system of your “tribe”, your “Soul family”?
#strength 💪🏻 is not measured by lifting weights.
Strength comes from lifting yourself up every time you get knocked down.
It’s OK to fall.
We all do.
Just don’t stay there on the ground for too long.

Change is Inevitably Good (because it can’t be all bad all the time!) #CPTSD

As trauma survivors, we often feel like change ALWAYS equals a negative experience. It doesn’t have to, though it takes time to develop the tools and skills to respond positively. And at some point, you’re going to find yourself facing a change that will threaten the foundations of your identity. When you recover, because I fully believe you’ll regain yourself and your balance, you’ll be faced with major changes in positive ways that will trigger you for no other reason outside of how intensely you’re processing your emotions.

You’ll keep going. You’ll keep surviving. Because you have a story that isn’t over yet; your next chapter has only been outlined and you need to literally flesh it out. Take the plot twist with grace since it builds character.

And eventually, you’ll be faced with a opportunity for such positive change that it’ll rock your world and rebuild your faith in yourself.

What is making you anxious? Tell me about it.

Just a little inspiration for the anxiety sufferers who may just be a bit overwhelmed for Monday.

I am too.
But we’ll be okay.
I promise.

What is making you anxious this week?

I have a full day of lab work and yet another stressful meeting with HR to discuss my anxiety, short term and long term goals, and my work performance. I get to sit in a room full of people and try to keep myself composed without having an attack when I get home.
