Introduce yourself and tell us what your lupus story is? #Lupus #LupusGroupies

I'll go first! My name is Brionna and I love hiking! 🌿☀️⛰️ Unfortunately having lupus sometimes makes hiking, traveling, or even being outdoors a little tough; but we are warriors so I will never give up on my passion! I got diagnosed with Lupus while I was in Nicaragua living and volunteering as a teacher. I was told I had Lupus in a foreign language, with no family/friend support in a foreign place it was a bit overwhelming to say the least. Long story short I decided to fly home early to get treatment in the United States. I met my fiancé 4 weeka after I came home early so I guess you could say things worked out? 🤷🏻‍♀️Having Lupus and other autoimmune diseases sucks sometimes so let's welcome each other with open arms and tell our stories! What is your name, favorite activity, and how you got diagnosed? #welcome #IntroduceYourself #Lupus #AutoimmuneDisease #InvisibleIllness

Introductions! #IntroduceYourself

Hellllooooo Warriors! My name is Morgan, and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I’m 23 (wow) and graduated from the University of Oregon in Chemistry. When I’m not wrapped up in logical and rational trains of thought, I make mixed-media art and rely on #ArtTherapy a lot.

I am in recovery from #AnorexiaNervosa and #BingeEatingDisorder . I also struggle with #Depression #GeneralizedAnxietyDisorder #PTSD #BorderlinePersonalityDisorder On a daily basis. I’ve participated in #emdr and #DBT and therapy for 10 years, on and off.

Physically, I’ve had #Migraines for 13 years. I still regularly go to the ER for treatment, even when well-managed by a neurologist.

My hobbies are reading, the process of creating art, puzzles of any kind, and coding. The center of my world are my pets: Maddox the tarantula (and I am an arachnophobe!) and Bellatrix Lestrange the black beauty of a cat.

I’d love to get to know some of you lovelies more!
Endless love!

Reaching out is conversation #IntroduceYourself

#hellomyname is Susan, and then something shared, like this is really good asparagus for sale, or did you see the deal on these clothes?  Otherwise just saying hello in a warm tone is an open door to begin an outreach.  I see this as usually looking for common ground, shared experience, or a request for help or information.  I was in college during the hitch hiking era, and it was a little iffy, after jumping in a strangers car, you say something like,,,,I hope you are nice  LOL.  Well it doesnt take that much trust, but push your comfort zone.  You might get no where within it. Every day on my block I am saying, no you cant have a dollar, sorry.
