So far this has been a busy week Canned 10 jars of tomato soup and 19 jars of spaghetti sauce. Very tiring day. Today I made fruitcakes for Christmas. This is nice and early in the season so they’ll have a few months to mellow. Then 4 dozen banana oatmeal cookies. Tomorrow, coffee with a neighbour and the following day a few hours with my sister.

This sounds to me , like someday there will be a harvest because of our suffering.
My dear husband has been I’ll for sometime and has lost about 45 pounds. Initially , the doctor thought it must be cancer. All cancer has been ruled out. We have a test to do that will hopefully confirm that he has a rare disease, Achalasia. Damaged nerves in the esophagus cause paralysis in the esophagus as well as the valve between the esophagus and stomach not to open. This food doesn’t get into the stomach consistently causing weight loss. Surgery and medication can alleviate the problem by releasing or relaxing the LES I would ask for your prayers as we navigate an unfamiliar road. It would be wonderful if he could eat again. This is an incurable disease that is fatal without treatment.

A friend brought over all kinds of scraps and pieces of fabric as she was reorganizing her quilting stash. As I had used up all my scraps last winter, I was happy to be gifted these. Many quilting projects in my future.
I’ve been working on this little blanket for a couple of months. Have to keep the hands busy
