I'm new here!

**TLDR** HI, I'm Dan, I made a thing I'm sure exists (but is probably not free) and would like anyone who cares to benefit from it for free. It's a mood tracker for underwriting and legal purposes basically.

Hi, my name is Dan. I'm here because I'm a "high functioning" bipolar person who created a semi-automatic way to log and track daily mood, meds, energy levels, red flags, and medication Compliance (among other stuff) and I'd like others to benefit from it for free.

In my case I plan to use this to establish a record of stability so I can attempt to get actual (private) disability insurance (the state covers less than 50% of my salary as a cap so the second I lose it I'm in huge trouble without a supplemental policy). This is a long term goal, I'm going to need a couple of years of records for this to matter.

Supposedly this log helps (according to chatgpt) :

* Tracks daily symptoms, mood, sleep, focus, and productivity for self-awareness and pattern detection.

* Creates a timestamped, structured record that supports disability claims or accommodations

* Helps doctors and therapists understand your condition more accurately over time* Provides legal-grade documentation showing severity, frequency, and functional impact

*Supports appeals or reviews by creating a consistent paper trail of your struggles

* Reinforces credibility by showing honest, non-retroactive self-reporting

* Enables monthly backups for safekeeping and historical analysis

* Can be customized with comment fields for edits or late observations (without corrupting original data)

* Easy to automate, mobile-friendly, and 100% private unless shared

How do you track your mood? #CheckInWithMe

I actually am (almost) finished with it! I was originally going to make a mood scarf, tracking my mood for the entirety of Mental Health Awareness Month but I realized about halfway through it wasn’t going to be long enough to be a scarf. Rather than scrap the idea completely, I am reworking it to be a wall hanging! This is the (almost) finished project. I just need to weave in the ends, make some tassels for the bottom and figure out how I’m going to hang it on my wall.

I want to know how you track your mood. It could be writing down your main emotions each day, using a bullet journal template or something like what I did and crafting a mood scarf/blanket/wall hanging. I think next time I might try a granny square blanket mood tracker, if I am feeling ambitious.

Let me know how you keep track in the comments below!
