I’m bone tired in a way I can’t explain fully. I’m a COVID nurse who has been taking care of COVID patients for six months. I had COVID in may. Im a person with Fibromyalgia and that is very sensitive to stress. I’m also the only liberal daughter in an extremely conservative family who just came out as bisexual. I’m tired. I’m tired of being different. I’m tired of being sick. I’m tired of being of the front lines fighting a pandemic that no one seems to care about. Cold mornings, flare ups and no sick leave make for some very long days. Frustrating that I look so “normal” and people around me just don’t understand. I ache from my shoulders down, my bursitis has reared it’s ugly head, causing m sciatica to play up, causing my discs to be agonisingly reminding me they are still there. My legs and feet are constant tingling, but I am an aged care nurse who has to be on my feet.
Not a pity party at all, I never am about that. I just know you all understand.
