Hospital admission out of state

Came out to Ohio to visit my grandparents, especially my grandfather who's home on hospice. Yesterday thought was just flare in symptoms from pushing to hard and doing lot more activity then I'm used to... Well, last night ended up with temp 104.7 and heart rate running 150s all indications I have sepsis yet again! This will be number 15 so familiar with the territory... My palliative team is amazing and they created a letter hitting all the highlights with my illnesses and what treatments work with me. It has been such a help! Would reccomend to anyone with chronic illness, makes admission soooo much easier! Because it's signed by Dr carries a little more weight too. Anyone else have something that helps with admissions? Especially out of state? #Dysautonomia #Sepsis #Hospital #Gastroparesis #PalliativeCare

Update

Hello mighty family 👋🏼

I recently posted that we decided on palliative care for my grandfather. He passed yesterday afternoon.

Thank you for your words of kindness and support during this time. 🙏🏼 If you do not hear from me for a bit, I am taking time to grieve with my family.

I hope you all are doing well ❤️

Struggling #Caregiving

I try so hard to “be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud” 🌈 but today, I’m struggling. 🌧

As some of you may know, my grandfather (the person my mother and I care for) has been in the hospital and it wasn’t looking good. Well, after being intubated AGAIN, my mother and I talked about how palliative care is most likely the next step.

I’m attempting to be at peace with this chapter of my life (with him in it) ending. I’ve cried, a lot. But I’ve also laughed a lot. Those memories I have will last me a lifetime. My biggest hope is for a peaceful transition and for him to no longer suffer/be in pain.

Please hug your loved ones a little tighter for me ❤️ I had 25 years with him and it still doesn’t feel like enough.

Has anyone gotten any help from a palliative treatment clinic for intractable pain? I've got 247 pain for over 21 years.
