Physio

Today I had my final post-surgery physio assessment after months of physio and recovery and I did awesome!
I had major surgery on my ankle last December to lengthen tendons and re-position it at a 90 degree angle. I've been in a wheelchair the majority of the time for the past 10 years following seizures, surgery, chemo etc. due to a malignant brain tumour.
Anyways....following this recent ankle surgery, I had to re-learn how to walk and my doctors are thrilled at how successful I've been and so am I. They say that I'm one of the best success stories they've had for this surgery (in about 4y of doing the surgery). It was so much work and now I need to keep up the work so it wasn't all a waste, but I'm so proud of myself.
After 10y of feeling like my life has been on hold, I finally feel like it's moving forward again. I'm so happy I had to share.
