ARDS

I like to watch tv to relax- but sometimes I’ll see something that will trigger my ptsd- like last night this show had someone being tortured while intubated and it was similar in feeling to what happened to me when I was in ICU with ARDS. I am coming off the back of another hospitalisation which also triggered my ptsd. I am on steroids which heighten my anxiety. All in all I’m struggling right now.

I survived the very rare lung disease ARDS and septic shock 2 years ago and still have a lot of long term effects from this. Was in medical induced coma and ventilator for 4 weeks. Anybody here also survivors of this ?
