BPD recovery facts #BorderlinePersonalityDisorder

Might be tough to read but these are real facts.

Recovery (only 2 symptoms left out of the minimum 5 required to be diagnosed BPD, from DSM 5 list) takes between 2 to 10 years depending on severity.

Therapy is the only treatment. There are no chemicals able to cure BPD.
10 years therapy is efficient up to 80%.
Aging also helps as BPD behaviors decrease. It is at his highest between 20 and 30.

A cure with drugs can be prescribed to treat side symptoms like depression, anxiety, suicidal attempts, etc.

To the youngest members of our great family 😉, there is hope. BPD is now considered seriously and not as in 90's.

Average population with BPD is officially 2-4%, mostly women. But, numbers should be considered double with men who are more likely to commit suicide than women.
Many of dead men through suicide were certainly BPD.

Hope it helps.
This is from Pr Nader PERROUD (Switzerland), numbers from 2018.

You are NOT alone. You MATTER.

Warm hug 🧡

Little light of love 🧡, part 2

Wanting to share with you my very first attempt at a self care work. My first candle can transformation.

Tips: use an empty can 🤣, the nail and piece of wood avoid hurting your fingers with the hammer, I kept the label while piercing the can because you can draw on it and it reduces nails ripping off, gluing off was a bit uneasy in the end. Don't light the candle before putting it in! 🤣

There are no meaning with patterns but the heart, this is a test to understand how the metal react. I have 2 more cans waiting and it will be different based on my little experience.

I hope it will bring you motivation to give a try, it is very cheap and will enlightening your days and evenings. 😇

Take care, love yourself, you are WORTH it, you are NOT alone. 🧡

A little light of love

Without both dogs, I would feel quite more lonely. So before they joined me I was used to light a candle to bring some company in.
I am used to fireplaces since young age and always been fascinated how fire looks like a live being.
Candles flame are in the same vein to me, bringing soft, warm and dancing light in house.

We entered Autumn and are heading toward end of year celebrations. You might be alone like me. Anyway, while I may be sensitive to season depression, this period of the year was in my young age a time of joy.

My grandmother who was in charge of me while my mother was working away, always worked hard on making Christmas wonderful, spending countless hours decorating house and tree. My heart is still filled with this warmth and I want to share this love with you.

My daily Pinterest routine led me to some candle decoration and I am certainly going to give it a try soon.

But until then, have these little lights of love straight to your hearts. 🧡

Would dating a BPD partner the solution?

Because we are mostly not understood with our emotions swing, I wonder if a partner with BPD wouldn't be the best solution for us BPDs?

We would at least be able to provide each other proper support even though it could be overwhelming to us.

Of course that partner would need to be on the long healing journey, I mean here, putting efforts into checking for him/her-self about BPD and introspection, mindfulness...
It would not work with a newly diagnosed BPD, from my point of view.

Just thinking out loud and would enjoy reading your point of view here.

You are WORTH it, you are NOT alone. ❤
